Before They Were Stars: Sam Elliott in “Frogs”

As a countdown to Halloween, I’m doing “Before They Were Stars” features on celebrities who appeared in horror films before they made it big, and you know this clip is from early on in Sam Elliott’s career because he’s *GASP* DOESN’T HAVE HIS MUSTACHE! Seeing Sam Elliott without his mustache is like seeing a leopard without its spots, but he made a rare clean shaven appearance in a 1972 horror movie called Frogs, a nature-runs-amok story about a large group of amphibians getting revenge for the pollution of their swamp. Here’s an hilarious analysis of one infamous shot from the film where Mr. Elliott has a very weird bulge in his jeans that would seem to indicate he has multiple penises:
