Dubbed “The Godfather of Gore”, Tom Savini is a legend in b-movie circles for his special effects work, stunt work and acting in numerous famous horror movies such as Dawn of the Dead, The Burning, Maniac, Creepshow, Friday the 13th, From Dusk ‘Till Dawn, Grindhouse, and Machete. Savini’s work is almost entirely within the horror genre, though he did make a cameo appearence in Zack and Miri Make a Porno. But really, he will always be known for his grindhouse, b-movie work first and foremost, and my first thought when someone mentions Tom Savini is his role as the penis-gun-wielding Sex Machine in From Dusk ‘Till Dawn. He turns 65 today.
