I’m seriously kicking myself for not mentioning Chronicle in today’s podcast about our most anticipated movies of 2012, because I have seriously high hopes for this little picture! Written by Max Landis (son of John Landis) and made on a shoestring budget, this found-footage superhero flick with a dark twist actually looks really, really entertaining to me. Mind you, the fact that it’s coming out in February isn’t a very promising sign, but maybe this one will take everyone by surprise – after all, Cloverfield had a January release date, and it’s basically the best found footage film of all time! Besides, how can you resist watching a bunch of superheroes act like dicks? Y’know, the way that we all would if we had superpowers?
