The first trailer for The Bourne Legacy, the first instalment of the Jason Bourne films to not star Matt Damon nor feature the character Jason Bourne, has arrived, and y’know, it looks pretty good. Jeremy Renner looks like he’ll do a good job in the lead role, it’s nice to see some continuity with the side characters like Albert Finney, and the action looks solid. So I ask: what’s up with fourth instalments of spy franchises looking so good lately? Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol was a fun flick, and I predict that this one will be too. If this keeps up, I might have to change my opinions on late-game sequels…
