I already talked about the Friday the 13th TV series from the 1980s when I did a “Before They Were Stars” feature on Colm Feore’s guest appearance on an episode, but long story short: this was a horror anthology series that had NOTHING to do with Jason Voorhees or the Friday the 13th films, but its original title, The 13th Hour, was changed in order to fool more people into watching. Anyway, since this was a Canadian-produced show, the pilot episode featured eight-year old Sarah Polley in one of her earliest roles as a girl who obtains an evil doll that causes people’s deaths. When will they ever learn? When you buy a new doll, make sure the switch isn’t set to “evil”!
