Before They Were Stars: Cuba Gooding Jr. Breakdances for Lionel Richie at the 1984 Olympics

This is one “Before They Were Stars” feature where I’m not 100 % certain that the star actually appears onscreen, but the footage is so obscure that I had to post it anyway. Cuba Gooding Jr.’s first professional job in the entertainment industry came at the age of 16 when he was hired as a breakdancer for Lionel Richie’s performance of “All Night Long” at the closing ceremonies of the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, since there are literally hundreds of breakdancers in this number and very few them get a close-up, I have no idea which one is Cuba. However, you’re free to look for yourself. He’s in there somewhere.
