Anton Yelchin is an actor whose star is on the rise, and he’s been acting since the age of ten, when he appeared in the indie film A Man is Mostly Water in 2000. The following year, he appeared in the films Along Came a Spider, 15 Minutes, and Hearts in Atlantis. He continued to play secondary roles as the decade progressed, with credits in House of D, Fierce People, and Alpha Dog. He made appearances on Criminal Minds, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and NYPD Blue, and in 2009 he signed onto one of the biggest sci-fi franchise of all time when he played the role of Pavel Chekov in the Star Trek reboot. Since then his career has been skyrocketing, and he’s starred in movies including Terminator Salvation, The Beaver, and Fright Night. With another Star Trek movie on the way, I think it’s safe to say that Anton Yelchin is set to be a pretty huge movie star. He turns 23 today.
