Holy crap! This Japanese trailer for The Avengers has loads of new footage in it, making it officially the coolest piece of Avengers-related promotional media since…well, the last official Avengers trailer! The buildup to this movie has been so fun and exciting for movie and comic book fans alike, and Joss Whedon has been giving us nothing but positive indications that he was given the freedom to make his own movie without much in the way of studio interference. If this film sucks, I’ll eat my hat. And I love my hat, so that’s a pretty big wager, but thankfully not one I think I will lose.
The Avengers comes out May 4, 2012.
