Behind Quantic Dream’s Kara

Not too long ago I posted a video demo of Quantic Dream’s new performance capture system that will be used in their next big video game release. It’s pretty astounding how far the technology has come, as we’re on our way out of the Uncanny Valley, slowly but surely. TBR friend Pat sent me this video yesterday that gives us some behind-the-scenes peeks at the making of the Kara demo, and while it looks pretty typical as far as motion capture where movies are concerned, the fact that this level of performance capture detail is now being applied to games makes me very, very excited to see what comes of it.
