James McAvoy is an actor who has risen to incredible fame over the course of only a decade, and it’s hard to believe just how little time has transpired between his big breakout role in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe (he had acted in films such The Near Room, Regeneration, Wimbledon, and Bright Young Things, and the TV series State of Play, Shameless, and Children of Dune before that) and the present. Following The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, McAvoy has starred in many popular films, such as The Last King of Scotland, Becoming Jane, Atonement, Wanted, and, recently, X-Men: First Class and Arthur Christmas. I’d say James McAvoy’s fate as a star is sealed, and I can’t wait to see him in the next X-Men movie, because he kicked serious ass as Charles Xavier. James McAvoy turns 33 today.
