Celebrity Birthday of the Day – April 22

Ryan Stiles dropped out of high school at the age of 17 to pursue a career in comedy, and by 1989 he had attracted the attention of the producers of the British improv comedy TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway?, transferring over to the North American version of the show in 1998. Shortly before this, Drew Carey, who would go on to host the American Whose Line Is It Anyway? also asked Stiles to be a regular performer on the sitcom The Drew Carey Show. Stiles has continued to work with Carey ever since, having also appeard on the all-too-short-lived Drew Carey’s Green Screen Show and the more recent Drew Carey’s Improv-a-Ganza. Outside of his improv comedy and work with Drew Carey, Ryan Stiles has acted in both Hot Shots! movies, performed a voice in the animated Astro Boy movie, and appeared on TV series including Mad About You, Parker Lewis Can’t Lose, Murphy Brown, The John Larroquette Show, Reno 911!, and Two and a Half Men. Ryan Stiles turns 53 today, and it just wouldn’t be right for us to celebrate without featuring a clip from Whose Line.
