Before They Were Stars: Chevy Chase in “The Groove Tube”

The 1970s were a popular time to release movies which were basically a non-stop 90-minute string of sketches, with Monty Python’s And Now for Something Completely Different and The Kentucky Fried Movie probably being the best of them. In 1974, a sketch comedy movie called The Groove Tube was released that just happened to contain the feature film debut of Chevy Chase. In this very bizarre clip, he sings a rendition of “I’m Looking Over a Four Leaf Clover” while a guy plays the top of his head like bongos.
