Scottish actor Ron Donachie is so prolific that you probably don’t realize how many times you’ve seen him! After working extensively on the stage, Donachie made the transition to television in 1983 with a small role on the series Goodnight and God Bless. This kicked off a lengthy string of TV credits, as over the course of his career he has acted in TV series such as Coronation Street, Bulman, The Monocled Mutineer, Tutti Frutti, The Governor, Hamish Macbeth, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Starhunter, Taggart, Doctor Who, and, most recently, Game of Thrones. Donachie has also acted in films such as Titanic, The Jungle Book (the live action 1994 film), Blitz, and Max Manus: Man of War. With over 100 credits to his name, Ron Donachie is a king of television, and I look forward to more of his work…especially on Game of Thrones! Go Ser Rodrick Cassel! Ron Donachie turns 56 today.
