Aliens: The Musical

Jon and Al Kaplan, masters of turning popular movies into musical properties (these are the guys behind the Arnie musical videos and the off-Broadway musical Silence!, based on Silence of the Lambs), are getting in on the Alien franchise revival along with the release of Prometheus! Watching their take on Aliens: The Musical, I can’t help but think that Prometheus might have been greatly improved if Michael Fassbender’s android David broke into a musical number at some point. They even establish early on that he likes old movies! Maybe we’ll get a David musical number in the director’s cut.
