It’s Gendry! Joe Dempsie is a young actor who has already appeared in two of my favourite TV shows from the past year: Game of Thrones and The Fades. Dempsie received his training from the Central Junior Television Workshop in Nottingham, and has been acting since 2000. He works primarily in television, with early roles on the shows Peak Practice, Sweet Medicine, Doctors, and Born and Bred. He attracted attention with his role on the show Skins, and has since appeared on Doctor Who, The Adventures of Merlin, This Is England ’86, Moving On, and, of course, The Fades and Game of Thrones. In addition to his television work, Joe Dempsie has appeared in the films The Damned United, Edge, and Blitz. Something tells me, though, that the most we’ll be seeing of him for a while will be on Game of Thrones. Joe Dempsie turns 25 today.
