Comic Con Report: Dirty Laundry

I’ve never ranked the Punisher among my favourite comic book characters of all time, but I’ll admit that I do enjoy just how badass he is. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of the 2004 movie of The Punisher (I know Robin was, though!), but I thought that they at least got the casting of Thomas Jane right. But the movie was just too heartfelt and touchy-feely for my liking, with not nearly enough blood and guts for it to really be The Punisher. Well, it seems Tom Jane felt the same way, so he made his own little Punisher fan film to screen at Comic Con! The result is terrific…and is that…Ron Perlman? Here’s a quote from Jane about the project, called Dirty Laundry:

“I wanted to make a fan film for a character I’ve always loved and believed in – a love letter to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It’s been a blast to be a part of from start to finish — we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did making it.”
