Yesterday I posted a couple of videos focussing on Bane’s voice in The Dark Knight Rises that had been floating around the internet recently. Well, here’s another video that’s been making the rounds online which posits that Heath Ledger’s performance as the Joker was inspired by an interview with Tom Waits from 1979. I don’t know that Ledger’s performance is necessarily directly inspired by Waits, but since Ledger and Waits appeared together in the movie The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus…well, I guess maybe there’s a chance that the two informed each others’ work.
