If you read TBR with any regularity, you know that I’m a huge fan of the Lego video game adaptations of popular movies. Somehow, these games not only work, but they succeed with flying colours when they seem like the kind of multimedia crossovers that should fall on their asses. I mean, think about it…we’re talking about video game adaptations of building-block toy set adaptations of movies, and in the case of Lego The Lord of the Rings, movies based on books! It’s like a spinoff rolled in a spinoff wrapped in a spinoff and slapped with a brand name. And yet…I think this looks wonderful, whimsical, and very funny. So I need to buy a copy. No two ways about it
Lego The Lord of the Rings comes out October of 2012.
