Before They Were Stars: 12-Year Old Aaron Johnson as Charlie Chaplin in “Shanghai Knights”

Aaron Johnson has been acting since the age of six, but long before he was Kick-Ass, one of his first major roles was alongside Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson in Shanghai Knights. 12-year old Aaron plays a street urchin named Charlie who helps the two heroes and reveals near the end that his ful name is “Charlie Chaplin”. Of course, this is a major historical error since Shanghai Knights takes place in 1887 and Chaplin wasn’t even born until 1889!
