Look out, zombies, because Rick Grimes is around! Andrew Lincoln – born Andrew James Clutterbuck – made his TV debut in an episode of the British sitcom Drop the Dead Donkey, and his first reoccuring role was on the series This Life from 1996 until 1997. Over the next few years, Lincoln moved into film acting, appearing in Human Traffic, Gangster No. 1, Offending Angels, and Love Actually. Now, I don’t want to diminish Lincoln’s work on the shows Afterlife and Strike Back, or in TV movies like This Life + 10 or The Things I Haven’t Told You, but to me, the only thing that really matters in the Andrew Lincoln conversation these days is his work as Rick Grimes on The Walking Dead. I may have issues with the show, but I think Lincoln was perfectly cast in the role. Andrew Lincoln turns 39 today.
