At the age of fourteen, Rachel Weisz started a modelling career and was even offered a major role in the Richard Gere film, King David. She decided to turn the role down in order to focus on her education and briefly discusses her decision in this 1984 interview clip from the talk show, Good Morning Britain. King David actually turned out to be a bit of a stinker, so her decision to postpone her acting career for several more years obviously did not hurt things in the long run.
