Celebrity Birthday of the Day – October 20

You’re looking a little down, Tim! Earl Hindman is probably best known for his role as Wilson W. Wilson, whose face was always obscured, from the long-running TV series Home Improvement. Home Improvement ran for eight years between 1991 and 1999, but Hindman had been acting for many years before that, starting his career with a role in the film Teenage Mother in 1967. Some of Hindman’s notable film roles include parts in The Taking of Pelham One Two Three, Silverado, and Three Men and a Baby. Hindman also performed on the TV shows The Equalizer, Tales from the Darkside, Ryan’s Hope, Law & Order, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Hindman died of lung cancer on December 29, 2003 at the age of 61, and since it is his birthday, I figure that he deserves full recognition, so here’s a scene from Ryan’s Hope where you get to see his whole face. He appears around the 3:15 mark.
