Celebrity Birthday of the Day – October 25

HEY YOU GUYS! John Matuszak began his career as a football player, and a pretty notorious one at that. Initially, he played for the Houston Oilers and the Houston Texans, but was quickly barred for playing for two teams at the same time. At this point, Matuszak moved to the WFL and played for the Kansas City Chiefs, then the Oakland Raiders, and helped them win two Super Bowls. He was famous for partying hard, using painkillers and narcotics, and was named one of Sports Illustrated’s all-time bad boys of the NFL. Matuszak also did a fair amount of acting in the 1980s, appearing on TV shows such as M*A*S*H, The Dukes of Hazzard, The A-Team, Miami Vice, and Cheers, and in movies including Caveman, The Ice Pirates, and, of course, Goonies. John Matuszak died of an overdose on June 17, 1989. He was 38.
