Before They Were Stars: Patrick Dempsey as an Extra in “The Stuff”

I’m a fan of Larry Cohen’s 1985 B-movie, The Stuff, a horror story about a mysterious ice cream-like goo that becomes a hugely popular dessert sensation… until everyone who eats it winds up mutating into a hyperactive zombie. Anyway, I was surprised to discover that 19-year old Patrick Dempsey had a brief role as an extra in the film. If you blink, you’ll miss it, but thankfully, when Dempsey was interviewed on The Tonight Show, they were gracious enough to point it out.
