Jeremy Renner has been acting since 1995, when he had a small role in the film National Lampoon’s Senior Trip, but in the last five years he has shot to stardom rapidly, and it looks as though he’s set to be headlining movies for a long time to come. Following Renner’s role in Senior Trip, he also appeared in a number of commercials and in small roles in the films Zoe, Duncan, Jack and Jane, The Net, and Angel, as well as appearing on TV shows such as Deadly Games, Strange Luck, and CSI. In 2002, Renner earned some acclaim for his performance as Jeffrey Dahmer in the film Dahmer, and would go on to appear in the film adaptation of S.W.A.T., as well as in North Country, Lords of Dogtown, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, and 28 Weeks Later. In 2008, Renner landed his breakthrough role in the critically lauded movie The Hurt Locker, and since then he has been appearing in loads of prominent films, including The Town, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, The Bourne Legacy, and The Avengers. He can also be seen in the upcoming Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. Jeremy Renner turns 42 today.
