David Strathairn’s off-screen life is even more interesting than his life on screen, as he started his acting career after college touring as a clown in a traveling circus! He then spent several years hitchhiking across America, working in theatres during the summer time. His first film role was in the John Sayles film Return of the Secaucus Seven, and since then he has amassed a resume of over 100 titles, including films such as A League of Their Own, Sneakers, The Firm, L.A. Confidential, Good Night and Good Luck (a role which earned him an Academy Award nomination), The Sopranos, and the Jason Bourne trilogy. David Strathairn turns 64 today.
