Somehow, it wasn’t until this trailer that I realized The Wolverine was a sequel to the X-Men films and not a prequel-sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I don’t know if that distinction really matters, but I at least appreciate the inclusion of Jean Grey in the preview, and this is probably the best that the movie has looked so far. But I dunno, The Wolverine just isn’t doing anything for me, and that’s pretty remarkable considering the character is one of the most popular superheroes in comics today. Moreso than the movie, I’m really curious to see if it does well at the box office. Could Wolverine have run out of things to live for?
