Even though The Walking Dead has fallen into a pit of suckiness, in my opinion, one thing that only got better as the show went on was Melissa McBride. Her character started out a bit flat in the first season, but over the course of the show, Carol became one of my favourites and really started to kick some ass. McBride began acting in 1993 when she appeared on an episode of Matlock, and she would continue to act on TV shows such as American Gothic and Walker, Texas Ranger, before starting to appear in prominent film roles starting with 2002’s The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys. She has also played roles on the shows Dawson’s Creek and Conan, and in films such as The Mist and Delgo. But let’s face it – from now, she’s Carol. Melissa McBride turns 48 today.
