Before They Were Stars: James Gandolfini in “True Romance”

As you’ve probably heard, James Gandolfini tragically passed away of a heart attack a few days ago at the age of 51. Long before The Sopranos was a thing, I first remember seeing Mr. Gandolfini play a mobster in the Tony Scott/Quentin Tarantino collaboration, True Romance. He only appeared in a handful of scenes, but he made a very memorable impression, especially during his violent motel room confrontation with Patricia Arquette. You just knew this guy was probably going to go on to bigger things and he will be greatly missed. R.I.P.
