Before They Were Stars: 6-Year Old Thora Birch on “Day by Day”

Ever wonder why Thora Birch just seemed to disappear this past decade? Well, after reading the article I published at Cracked.com yesterday, you can blame her career decline on her creepy manager/ex-porn star dad. Anyway, Thora’s first major role was in 1988 when she became a full-time cast member on a short-lived sitcom called Day by Day, which also happened to star a pre-Seinfeld Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Even though she isn’t credited, you can catch a glimpse of young Thora during the opening titles. For the early part of her career, Thora didn’t even use her last name and was simply credited as “Thora”, which, well… kinda sounds like something her weird dad would do.
