I quite like Jason Bateman, and I’ve always thought that one of his talents – shown especially well on Arrested Development – is his ability to be likeable, but also a complete jerk. Well, it figures that his directorial debut would be in a movie where he stars as someone who is a complete jerk, but somehow also kinda likeable. But mostly a jerk. As Vince Nitro says, “Jason Bateman being mean to kids? I’m in.”
