Greek general Themistocles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemesia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy.
Hey, they’ve got blue cloaks instead of red ones this time! For some reason, I feel like I should be sneering at the very idea of a sequel to 300, Zack Snyder’s hyper-stylized sword and sandal epic, but I dunno. I like Eva Green (though she doesn’t look Persian to me, guys), and the movies look consistent in their appearance…and it’s not as though 300 was some brainy masterpiece or anything. File this one under “I’ll see it eventually.”
