2012’s 21 Jump Street was a movie that I was completely disinterested in. Even though it got above average reviews from critics whose opinions I trust, I still waited until I had the opportunity to see it for free before I even considered watching the film. But boy, what a pleasant surprise. It was loads of fun! To the point where I’m actually kinda looking forward to the sequel. I mean, I’m not going to rush out to be first in line at the premiere or anything, but this looks like a good time. The premise is surprisingly solid and logical for a sequel plot, too. Plus, the directorial team of Phil Lord and Chris Miller know their stuff when it comes to comedy.
