Before They Were Stars: Mark Wahlberg on a Children’s Variety Show

I’m sure you all know that Mark Wahlberg the movie star started out as the leader of Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. So it’s amusing to discover that Marky Mark’s first official television appearance was on a kids show! In the fall of 1990, several months before the Funky Bunch released “Good Vibrations”, they made an appearance on a New England children’s variety show called Ready to Go. Even he was pretty much still an unknown at the time, all the young girls in the studio audience still go batshit insane for Marky Mark.
