Before They Were Stars: Ellen DeGeneres Performs Stand-Up on “Almost Live!”

I have to confess that when Ellen DeGeneres hosted the Academy Awards this year, I was kinda hoping for her to show up sporting that epic mullet she had during her stand-up comedy days in the 1980s. You can see it on display here during this early stand-up performance on the Seattle-based sketch comedy show, Almost Live!. Incidentally, Almost Live! helped launch quite a few careers as Joel McHale and Bill Nye started out as cast members on that show.
