Before They Were Stars: 10-Year Old Scarlett Johansson in “Just Cause”

In 1995, Sean Connery starred in a legal thriller called Just Cause, which featured one of Scarlett Johansson’s earliest roles as his daughter. And it’s quite funny to picture Scarlett Johansson as Sean Connery’s daughter, considering that she was 10 at the time and he was 64. It’s also amusing to note that Connery’s wife in this film is played by Kate Capshaw, best known for her role as Willie Scott in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. As you probably remember, when Connery played Indiana Jones’ father in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, they both wound up sleeping with the same woman. So now I’m having visuals of Indy’s dad hooking up with Willie Scott after things didn’t work out between her and Indy, and them conceiving Scarlett Johansson together. Anyway, there aren’t any good clips available of Scarlett in this film, but you can see her at the 1:36 mark of this trailer.
