Yesterday, I did a “Before They Were Stars” on one of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s earliest roles in the Danish horror film, Nightwatch. I’ve since uncovered some old commercials that Coster-Waldau did in his native Denmark. The first one seems like a relatively normal commercial for salad, but then it ends with a logo which implies that the ad is a PSA for diabetes… I think?! The second commercial here was shown during an appearance Coster-Waldau made on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. At the 2:11 mark of this clip, you’ll see footage of him in a bizarre ad where he is about to be killed by mobsters, but is granted a last request to eat some Reinert sausage. The whole thing is even funnier without the subtitles.
