Before he was Pee-Wee Herman, Paul Reubens got his first national television exposure by performing on numerous episodes of The Gong Show during the late 1970s. In this particular occasion, he appeared as part of a goofy singing duo called “Suave & Debonair”. Incidentally, the guy singing alongside Reubens is his longtime collaborator, John Paragon, who would go on to play Jambi the Genie on Pee-Wee’s Playhouse and had memorable roles in such films as Eating Raoul and UHF.
