The World Goes Mad

Within this world of fire and blood exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There’s Max: a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. Meanwhile, Furiosa is a woman of action who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.

I’ve been pretty excited for Mad Max: Fury Road since I saw the first footage out of Comic Con, but man, this new trailer knocks it right out of the park. This may well make my list of my most anticipated films of 2015, and honestly, even though I love the Mad Max franchise, I didn’t expect to get excited over this one. Why? Well, it’s been something like a decade in the making, with the production moving in fits and starts, people signing on and then dropping out…all the trappings of a disastrous film. And hey, it could still be a disaster, but if the film delivers what this trailer promises, then I’m sold. Here’s hoping this is good enough to kick off a new series with Tom Hardy in the lead and George Miller at the helm.

Mad Max: Fury Road comes out May 15, 2015.
