Before They Were Stars: 3-Year Old Chris Pine on “CHiPs”

Chris Pine was born to parents who were both professional actors. His father, Robert Pine, is best known for playing the role of Sgt. Joe Getraer on the police drama, CHiPs, during the late 1970s-early 1980s, and Chris’ mother, Gwynne Gilford, played Sgt. Getraer’s wife on some episodes of the show. Anyway, over the course of the series, the fictional couple had a son named Christopher, so at the age of three, Chris Pine made a brief on-camera appearance on an episode of CHiPs to play Christopher. During an appearance Chris made on Ellen awhile back, his father provided this footage from CHiPs to be played on the show. Interestingly enough, Gwynne Gilford once did an episode of CHiPS while she was pregnant with Chris, so technically, Chris Pine’s first appearance on television was from inside his mother’s womb.
