Unbreakables

Screen Junkies recently sat down with Patton Oswalt to discuss Oswalt’s dream sequels to…Unbreakable? That’s right, Oswalt thinks that Unbreakable should have been a trilogy, and based on his pitch, I’ve gotta agree with him. Parts 2 and 3 both sound like wicked movies, and I’ve always championed Unbreakable as one of Shyamalan’s very best films. Unfortunately, Oswalt thinks that Shyamalan should still direct the sequels, and while I get that it’s tempting to continue giving M. Night control over this kind of thing, after The Last Airbender, The Happening and After Earth, I’m afraid I’ve lost all respect for the director’s work.
