True Detective‘s second season is just a little over a month away, and the anticipation is high. Showrunner Nic Pizzolatto blew everyone away with the series’ first incredible season…but now he’s got the daunting task of following it up, minus the terrific leading duo of Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. Now, I’m sure the show will continue to be great, but in my eyes, Vince Vaughn, Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch don’t come even close to matching the talent of season one. But then, I wasn’t the biggest McConaughey fan before season one, either. Maybe True Detective‘s second season will be a revelation for these actors, and I’ll be eating these words come summer’s end.
True Detective season 2 starts on June 21, 2015.
