Before They Were Stars: Arnold Schwarzenegger in “Scavenger Hunt”

During the 1970s, Arnold Schwarzenegger was finding great success in the world of bodybuilding (and enjoying it so much that he compared it to cumming), but mega-stardom in Hollywood had yet to be attained. At this time, Schwarzenegger was still forced to take supporting roles and small bit parts in films and television shows, including a 1979 flick called Scavenger Hunt, a Rat Race/It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World-style screwball farce about an ensemble cast entering a scavenger hunt to claim a large inheritance. In this scene, Schwarzenegger plays a gym instructor named Lars, who puts Tony Randall through a strenuous workout and throws a medicine ball at him so hard that he knocks Randall out a second-floor window.
