For years now, Hollywood has desperately been trying to make movies about witch hunters work. We need only look as far as Seventh Son, Season of the Witch, and Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters to see how poorly this idea plays. I mean, I’m all for some witch-slaying, but it just doesn’t seem like anybody can get the tone right. But hey, here’s another witch hunting movie that has a shockingly good cast, considering how ridiculous it all looks. What’s Michael Caine doing in this? Yeesh.
