I’m always intrigued by Stephen Chow’s work, even if I prefer his kung fu comedies over his other stuff, and this trailer for The Mermaid is no exception. It looks like this will be about Chow’s usual stable of oddball characters encountering a mermaid? Sort of a wackier, Chinese version of Splash? This trailer doesn’t give us a lot to go on, but it does include a pretty good extended gag about a policeman who just doesn’t understand the concept of a mermaid.
The Mermaid comes out in China in February of 2016.
