Polish Wedding was a 1998 comedy filmed in the largely Polish-American community of Hamtramck, Michigan. Since Kristen Bell is part Polish-American and grew up in the same area of Michigan, she was able to secure a small role in Polish Wedding, which marked her feature film debut. Alas, even though Bell got to share a scene with Claire Danes, she did not have any lines of dialogue, so her role is technically that of an uncredited background extra.
