George A. Romero is the king of the dead. He is the reason zombie movies became so popular. He is the reason we have the wonderful homage movie, Shaun of the Dead. He is responsible for directing Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Land of the Dead, Diary of the Dead, and Survival of the Dead. He is also responsible for directing the original films that have, in recent years, spawned great remakes (Dawn of the Dead and The Crazies). He has a new horror movie called Deep Red in development, too!
