Here’s a trailer for the film A Lonely Place To Die, which was playing at the Fantasia Film Festival this year, but I regrettably was unable to see it. Tom Lando saw it, however, and insisted that I would absolutely love it. I tried, I tried to maintain a media blackout when it came to this film, not wanting to have anything spoiled by a trailer, but in the end my will was too weak and I looked up a preview. Holy. Crap. This movie looks amazing. And talk about a wicked plot hook!
A group of five mountaineers are hiking and climbing in the Scottish Highlands when they discover a young Serbian girl buried in a small chamber in the wilderness. They become caught up in a terrifying game of cat and mouse with the kidnappers as they try to get the girl to safety.
Yes. Yes yes. YES YES YES. This is totally my kind of movie.
A Lonely Place To Die doesn’t have an official North American distributor yet, but has a tentative release date of November 11, 2011. I, for one, cannot wait.
