Celebrity Birthday of the Day – June 3

James Purefoy began his professional acting career on the stage, working with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He moved into television in the 1990s and worked primarily in that medium, with credits in such series as Tears Before Bedtime, The Prince and the Pauper, and Have Your Cake and Eat It. In the early 2000s, he began acting more prominently in movies such as A Knight’s Tale, Resident Evil, and Vanity Fair. In the late 2000s, he began to balance film and TV roles to great success, earning fame for his performance as Mark Antony in the series Rome and headlining a couple of movies – namely Solomon Kane and Ironclad. More recently he appeared in (the highly underrated) John Carter. James Purefoy turns 48 today.
