Before They Were Stars: 14-Year Old Daniel Day-Lewis as an Extra in “Sunday, Bloody Sunday”

When he was only 14 years old, Daniel Day-Lewis made his acting debut with a brief uncredited role in the 1971 British film, Sunday Bloody Sunday, where he basically got paid two pounds to walk by a parked car and scratch it with a bottle. Knowing Day-Lewis’ insane devotion to method acting, it’s likely he spent an entire year scratching parked cars with bottles in order to prepare for this role.
